I wrote and recorded this album for my wife between 2021 and 2023 and gave it to her as a gift on her 30th birthday. I wanted to create music that expressed my love and gratitude for her; that spoke to her, about us, our relationship and our journey together and to do so in a way that would be enjoyable for her. In doing so I also wanted to evoke memories through spaces that are significant to us by including field recordings taken from, among other places and events, our garden, the Southern, central and Northern Drakensberg recorded during a camping trip and our honeymoon, and recordings from the river where I asked her to marry me which we recorded on the day we got engaged. Although this album was created for one person I hope others might also enjoy it.

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this. Luke

Have only listened to the first three tracks so far. Somehow the indie/grunge/funereal/doom elements meld together well. Well worth a listen! 😁 Update - couldn't stop listening. No weak tracks.
